About

The faculty, researchers, and graduate students of the Faculty of Political and Diplomacy are actively working on Korean politics, comparative politics, international politics, political thought, and many other aspects. This research capability has attracted international attention, and in recent years, the Faculty of Political Diplomacy has been ranked 30th in the world in the field of political science by QS World University Evaluation Standards (29th in 2018, 31st in 2019 and 2020) and has established itself as an Asian research hub for the study of world political diplomacy. Through the SNU 10-10 project, the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy intends to further enhance the Faculty's research capabilities and strengthen its links with international academia to become a global hub for political diplomacy.

The Faculty of Political Diplomacy aims to collect data on global political issues to produce the latest achievements that influence the flow of political diplomacy research, and to utilize international academic experience and networks to become a hub for global political diplomacy research. We also aim to continue to share and promote our research to international academia, while supporting the next generation of scholars to make this trend sustainable.

The Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy supports undergraduate faculty in conducting international collaborative research and publishing processes. In addition to direct investigations such as field investigations, we support the collection of data related to the latest research topics through specialized institutions that collect data at home and abroad, and we support the presentation of research results in internationally influential journals and conferences. We also support overseas conferences and visiting research, expanding our research capabilities and influence through networking and collaboration with scholars abroad.

By using our homepage or newsletter to promote our research results, we will strive to raise undergraduate awareness to a world-class level, and we will establish a database of issues to encourage various scholars at home and abroad to engage in research. In addition, we support the overseas research of PhD students who write dissertations to cultivate the next generation of scholars in the field of political diplomacy, as well as the visiting research of foreign theologians to Seoul National University.
