The SNU Workshop in Political Theory is a monthly forum for the presentation of in-progress work in political theory broadly construed, including but not limited to contemporary political philosophy, social and legal theory, and the history of political thought. We host international as well as domestic scholars across a wide range of disciplines.

Papers are circulated one week in advance. To foster broader participation, we ask speakers also to send a list of background readings for those less familiar with the topic at hand. Sessions begin with a brief presentation by the author, which is followed by roughly two hours of discussion. On occasion, we also hold book seminars.
